After filing the Notice of Appeal, the appellant must order the transcripts. Transcripts in civil appeals must be settled on 15 days notice. Transcripts in criminal appeals must be settled by the Judge. All transcrips must then be filed with the Civil or County clerk in order for the Clerk to transmit the file to the Appellate Term. The Clerk's Return will then be prepared and the file sent to the Appellate Term. Only then will the Appellant's Brief be accepted.
